Kiprotich Dominic

I build full-stack web applications with a strong frontend focus. Real-time dashboards, data-heavy interfaces, and the APIs that power them. Comfortable across the stack, from React and Next.js to Python backends.

Fleet telematics platform

Built the live vehicle-status interfaces operators use to track a bus fleet in real time, using MQTT and SSE feeds to surface odometer freshness and outage alerts. When our API layer started hitting rate-limit storms that cascaded across concurrent renders, I built a module-level circuit breaker to stop it, and paired it with request deduplication and slot-level error boundaries on Next.js parallel routes to keep the dashboard reliable under load.
